Tani had a passion for film and performing arts from a young age. Whilst studying for her honors degree she had the opportunity to work on the set of Gladiator, directed by Ridley Scott, which was filmed behind her university campus in Bournewood, Farnham, Surrey.
She started her company TGDC Production House in 2018. She went on to become the first Indian classical dancer to be registered with the prestigious British Ballet Organization in London.
With a master’s in dance psychology and honors degree in Film and Animation she chose to specialize in mental health related causes which led towards her being a spokesperson on these causes with Unesco-United Nations.
Her work is heavily influenced by Bruce Lee principles. By combining martial arts and dance she went on to develop engaging workshops that promoted the process of creativity and autonomy. Cultivating mindfulness in an incredibly digitally influenced era.
Over the past two decades she has performed in venues throughout the world from Kalakshetra India, Singapore, Sadlers Wells, Kings College Cambridge and the world renowned theater in Acropolis, Greece.
Her charitable work has been commended in the BBC Wildlife magazine for which she was recommended by Lucy Williamson and Jack Ashby, manager of the Museum of Zoology, Cambridge University and author of Animal Kingdom.
Tani was Interviewed by BBC Cambridgeshire for her charitable contributions.
She was praised for her work at King’s and Clare college, (Cambridge University) where she often gave talks and workshops.
Her collaboration for a year-long project with Arts Council England recipient lecturer/artist Nabil Ali led her towards the conception of Jupiter’s Ghost.
This new director is a published author and environmentalist who has brought a hybrid genre to British theater. Unafraid to challenge the social norms, her work is fresh, relevant, speculative, and unapologetic.
